Kate Fletcher
Equine Behaviour and Welfare Consultant
I have over 10 year’s experience working on the frontline of animal welfare operations, helping people help animals.
After working for an international equine welfare charity managing and training specialist teams and developing scientific resources about animal welfare, I am now studying for a PhD in international equine welfare.
I have an MSc in Equine Behaviour, Performance and Training, for which my dissertation looked at communicating scientific methods of welfare assessment to equestrians and analysing attitudes towards equine emotional state.
I am available for consultancy work by request. Please see my consultancy site, ‘Welfare Aware’. My particular areas of interest and expertise are equine behaviour and ethology, welfare assessment, human behaviour change and animal welfare ethics.
